Manaslu Tsum Valley 20 Days Trek

If you add Tsum Valley as a side trip apart from regular Manaslu Trek then there are lots of alternative options for itineraries as we can skip some part in Tsum or cover entire part. For me I would love to explore most of the part of Tsum Valley however skipping Ganesh Himal Base Camp would be great cause trail is really difficult I had just been there once and almost damage my gears. Here I will suggest a regular itinerary covering entire place in Tsum and gives you an option for Ganesh Himal Base Camp Day Trip from Gumba Lundang.

Here is my suggested itinerary for Manaslu Circuit Tsum Valley Trek

Day 01 – Kathmandu to Soti Khola by drive
Day 02 – Trek from Soti Khola to Maccha Khola
Day 03 – Trek from Maccha Khola to Jagat
Day 04 – Trek from Jagat to Lokpa
Day 05 – Trek from Lokpa to Chumling
Day 06 – Trek from Chumling to Rachen Gompa
Day 07 – Trek from Rachen Gompa to Mu Monastery
Day 08 – Trek from Mu – Monastery to Ani Gompa and Trek down to Chekampar
Day 09 – Trek from Chekampar to Gumba Lundang
Day 10 – Trek from Gumba Lundang to Ripchet

(On Day 10 there can be side trip to Ganesh Himal Base Camp)

Day 11 – Trek from Ripchet to Deng
Day 12 – Trek from Deng to Namrung
Day 13 – Trek from Namrung to Sama Gaon
Day 14 – Acclimatization day in Sama Gaon
Day 15 – Trek from Sama Gaon to Samdo
Day 16 – Trek from Samdo to Dharmasala

(Regular rest day is skipped cause we will be already acclimatized with higher elevation in Tsum)

Day 17 – Trek from Dharmasala to Bimthang via Larke Pass
Day 18 – Trek from Bimthang to Tilije
Day 19 – Trek from Tilije to Dharapani and drive to Beshi Sahar
Day 20 – Drive from Beshi Sahar to Kathmandu

If you see my 15 days regular Manaslu Circuit Trek Itinerary then there are two successive rest days in Samagaon and Samdo, but here I had skip the one in Samdo. Rule of high altitude sickness is to trek high and sleep low as we will already acclimatize with elevation of 4200 m around Mu – Monastery and back to elevation around 1000 m again before continuing toward high pass of Larke. I will be updating the list of things that you need to include in your packing list for trip. Click on each of above itinerary for details information of each day, like how much we walk, elevation difference and where to stay and others.
